| No Arabs on Flight 77 Rumor We are supposed to believe thathere were no Arabs on Flight 77 based on the early release of passenger names.... Even though the release said this.... While the official number of those missing and dead will inevitably rise over the next few weeks, authorities from American Airlines, United Airlines, the Department of Defense, the New York City Medical Examiners Office and the New York City Fire Department, have released partial lists. They are linked below. www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2001/trade.center/victims/main.html No surprise that names would be missing from a partial list. The math and accounting can be found here.... http://911myths.com/html/missing_arabs.html | | | | Cowboy | | Posted: Fri Sep 08, 2006 9:49 pm Post subject: |
| The "Passports Couldn't Have survived" Theory And why couldn't they have survived? They were not the only documents that did. "Orange County, CA., Sept. 11 - Lisa Anne Frost was 22 and had just graduated from Boston University in May 2001 with two degrees and multiple academic and service honors. She had worked all summer in Boston before coming home, finally, to California to start her new life. The Rancho Santa Margarita woman was on United Flight 175 on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001, when it became the second plane to slam into the World Trade Center... Her parents, Tom and Melanie Frost, have spent two years knowing they will never understand why. A few days before the first anniversary of our daughter's murder, we were notified that they had found a piece of her in the piles and piles of gritty rubble of the World Trade Center that had been hauled out to Staten Island. It was Lisa's way, we believe, of telling us she wasn't lost. In February, the day of the Columbia tragedy, we got word they'd found her United Airlines Mileage Plus card. It was found very near where they'd found a piece of her right hip. We imagine that she used the card early on the morning of Sept. 11 to get on the plane and just stuck it in her back pocket, probably her right back pocket, instead of in her purse. They have found no other personal effects". http://216.239.59.104/search?q=cache:tI2PQRqfJiIJ:www.msnbc.com/local/MYOC/M324557.asp And more... On Oct. 12, it arrived inside a second envelope at Mrs. Snyder's modest white house on Main Street here, and the instant she took it out and saw it, she says, ''chills just went over me.'' It was singed and crumpled. A chunk was ripped out, giving the bottom of the envelope she had sent the look of a jagged skyline. Mrs. Snyder's lyrical script had blurred into the scorched paper. The stamp, depicting a World War II sailor embracing a woman welcoming him home, was intact. Along with the letter was a note: ''To whom it may concern. This was found floating around the street in downtown New York. I am sorry if you suffered any loss in this tragedy. Sincerely, a friend in New York!'' Since then, Mrs. Snyder, a customer service representative at a grocery store, has discovered that she has one of only two pieces of mail known to have been recovered from the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center. At least one auction house has contacted her, saying she could sell the letter for tens of thousands of dollars. | The "Ashcroft Stopped Flying Commercial" Rumor BEN-VENISTE: ...At some point in the spring or summer of 2001, around the time of this heightened threat alert, you apparently began to use a private chartered jet plane, changing from your use of commercial aircraft on grounds, our staff is informed, of an FBI threat assessment. And, indeed, as you told us, on September 11th itself you were on a chartered jet at the time of the attack. Can you supply the details, sir, regarding the threat which caused you to change from commercial to private leased jet? ASHCROFT: ...Let me indicate to you that I never ceased to use commercial aircraft for my personal travel. ASHCROFT: My wife traveled to Germany and back in August. My wife and I traveled to Washington, D.C., on the 3rd of September before the 17th -- before the 11th attack on commercial aircraft. I have exclusively traveled on commercial aircraft for my personal travel; continued through the year 2000, through the entirety of the threat period to the nation. The assessment made by the security team and the Department of Justice was made early in the year. It was not related to a terrorism threat as a threat to the nation. It was related to an assessment of the security for the attorney general, given his responsibilities and the job that he undertakes. And it related to the maintenance of arms and other things by individuals who travel with the attorney general. And it was their assessment that we would be best served to use government aircraft. These were not private chartered jet aircraft. These were aircraft of the United States government. And it was on such an aircraft that I was on my way to an event in Milwaukee on the morning of September the 11th. http://www.nj.com/war/ledger/index.ssf?/news/ledger/stories/20040414_ashcroft.html And even Michael Moore had to back away from the rumor.... As proof of its scrupulousness, the Moore [Fahrenheit 9/11] team cites adjustments it made to the film's portrayal of Attorney General John Ashcroft... An earlier version of the film... included a reference to a widely circulated charge, broadcast by CBS News in July 2001, that Mr. Ashcroft had received warning of threats and stopped flying on commercial airlines. Tia Lessin, supervising producer of "Fahrenheit 9/11," said the reference to the CBS report was cut after Mr. Moore's fact-checking team found evidence that Mr. Ashcroft had flown commercially at least twice that summer. http://www.nytimes.com/2004/06/20/movies/20SHEN.html?pagewanted=all&ei=5007&en=906cd89473ac07fc&ex=1403064000 | | | | Cowboy | | Posted: Fri Sep 08, 2006 10:21 pm Post subject: |
| The "Freefall Theory" If the towers collapsed at "freefall" speed..... Then exactly how is it possible that the debris plume - which was actually in "freefall" - fell much faster??? | | | | Cowboy | | Posted: Tue Sep 12, 2006 5:58 am Post subject: |
| About The WTC Steel.... The airliner impacts severely damaged the core of the towers. The barrier walls in the core were simple drywall, which while intact resists fire well. However, drywall has little impact resistance. It can be broken with a kick or a fist. The explosions would most certainly have blown away the drywall quite easily. Then there is the matter if the fire insulation. Unfortunately, the towers were constructed with spray-on foam insulation, which besides not always going on evenly, does not bond sufficiently to resist an explosion. It is used extensively because it is lower cost than the alternatives, and it meets building code everywhere. So the building's steel was, without a doubt, exposed directly to the fire. Fire most certainly can destroy a steelframed building, which is why the steel frames are to be insulated from fire. The following clearly shows why the steel, which lost its insulation in the explosions, would likely have lost its structural integrity in 1,800 degree F fire... A metallurgist or materials specialist would immediately see that the fire temperatures were above that at which steel transforms functionally and molecularly. In particular, you can see the "transformation range" from around 1,350 F to around 1,700 F. The transformation temperature range is where the steel transforms molecularly. Starting at 1,800 F is the Forging Range. That is the temperature range used to hot-form steel, meaning that the steel can realtively easily be made to change shape. So we now see that the steel in the core likely reached the temperature where the weight of the building above could change the shape of the structural steel, making it lose its structural integrity, causing the collapse. Aside from all that, all that is needed to alter the shape of steel is warping. Warping requires only an internal temperature gradient of several hundred degrees F. The actual gradient depends on the steel content and shape. | | | | Cowboy | | Posted: Thu Sep 14, 2006 7:17 am Post subject: |
| The Falsehood of the "Jeff King MIT Engineer" Claim... There is a voideo being passed around the internet by a supposed Jeff King, MIT Engineer who makes claims about demolition at the WTC. Posts on this web site link to the video, making the "MIT Engineer" claim. The fact is..... Jeff King is not an engineer. http://www.plaguepuppy.net/public_html/letters/ | | | | Cowboy | | Posted: Sat Sep 23, 2006 5:07 am Post subject: |
| The "Black smoke means oxygen deprived" rumor Flammable liquids, like jet fuel and lubricants, produce black smoke. So do any petroleum-based product, plastics used in furniture, fabrics, office furnishingscarpets and airliner parts. Light smoke may indicate that there are no petroleum products burning. Black smoke indicates nothing meaningful. Oxygen starved???? | | | | Cowboy | | Posted: Sun Sep 24, 2006 5:10 am Post subject: |
| The Payne Stewart intercept claim Conspiracy theorists like to claim that the intercept of Payne Stewart's plane is an example that somehow shows that there was a NORAD "standdown" on 9/11. The story... An example of how the air defense network normally responds to domestic emergencies is illustrated by the well-reported 1999 case of Payne Stewart's Lear jet. When the golfer's jet failed to respond to air traffic controller communications, F-16 interceptors were quickly dispatched. According to an Air Force timeline, a series of military planes provided an emergency escort to Payne's stricken Learjet starting about 20 minutes after contact with his plane was lost. http://911research.wtc7.net/planes/analysis/norad/ This sounds impressive, but unfortunately it isn’t true. http://911myths.com/html/payne_stewart.html | | | | Cowboy | | Posted: Thu Dec 07, 2006 7:24 pm Post subject: |
