Lilienthal Suzanne Nicole is webmaster and research assistant for Dr. Alfred M. Lilienthal. http://www.alfredlilienthal.com/greaterisrael.htm The Real Reason They Hate Us By Suzanne Nicole AlfredLilienthal@aol.com March 23, 2003 If America wishes to truly protect our homeland from terrorist attacks from Islamic fundamentalists, it might help to know the real reason for their hatred toward us. The question has become almost proverbial after it has been asked so many times since the tragedy of 9-11: "Why do they hate us?" No, it's not because they despise our free society or our women going around in skimpy clothing. And it's not because most of us are Christians, Jews, or secular unbelievers and therefore not Muslims. It started long ago well before the terrorists who came to our American shores were even born. They keep telling us the real reason, but we will not listen. To hear and to understand and to reply effectively, we would have to admit our nation's bias for over a half century against the Arab people and other Muslim nations. We created the reason for their hostility toward us. It is we and not they who started the grotesque "clash of civilizations" we now see facing us over the next generation or more. Let us see what Arabs and other Muslims have repeatedly been saying for over fifty years. In a November 1947 article, entitled "As the Arabs See the Jews," in The American Magazine, His Majesty King Abdullah of Jordan said: "I believe that you do not realize how directly you are, as a nation, responsible in general for the whole Zionist move and specifically for the present terrorism. I call this to your attention because I am certain that if you realize your responsibility, you will act fairly to admit it and assume it." In an October 1954 report, entitled, "King Saud Interview by Lilienthal on Arab-American Relations and Zionism," in The Federal Herald, the following exchange took place between anti-Zionist Jewish American historian Alfred M. Lilienthal and King Saud of Saudi Arabia. Mr. Lilienthal: "Your Majesty a few months ago, said that the Arabs do not care if they sacrifice a few million persons in order to put an end to the Zionists in Palestine." His Majesty then said: "Frankly what I said is what I urge and preach. It is the only answer to what has been published by the responsible persons of Israel about the necessity that Israel should expand to comprise the beds of the Tigris and Euphrates, the Sinai Peninsula and the northern part of Saudi Arabia, including Medina, which is one of the two Holy Towns and the Burial place of the Moslems€™ Prophet, and which is after all my own land and the land of every Arab and Moslem. We have learned of this Zionist ambition from the statements of Israeli leaders and its creators who pleaded the course yesterday, and are still pleading it today. They are making no secret of this scheme, and they have made its study part of the school curriculum in Israel, where they cram the students€™ heads with these fanciful schemes. There is no answer to what they are after except this antidote, and the preparation of what we can in field of might and force." On June 4, 1983, Imam Khomeini of Iran wrote, "I warn the governments of the Islamic countries. They should know that Israel, as I have said again and again and as you have heard time and again, will not be satisfied with these agreements. It sees the Arab governments from the Nile to the Euphrates as usurpers, and sooner or later with the help of America it will put its malicious plan into action if, God forbid, it should find the opportunity and if the Arab governments do not awaken from their deep slumber. Is it not a source of shame for the Muslims and the governments of the Islamic countries that America, from the other side of the world, can govern their destinies and through the usurping infidel, Israel, can ensnare and ruin them all?" Every Arab and Muslim knows about this supposed Zionist plot to continue to occupy not only all of the Palestinian territories but to also eventually conquer most of the Arab nations to establish what is known as Greater Israel. They know about it even if they do not necessarily believe it. Most Americans, however, have never heard about this strange dreadful conspiracy, or they dismiss it as the ravings of madmen like Osama Bin Laden. Yes, Osama has claimed this too as one of his primary reasons for attacks upon America. On February 16, 2003, the content of a tape recording reportedly from Bin Laden was made public. The Reuters news service version stated, "Bin Laden said an attack on Iraq would be followed by U.S. €œaggressions€ against more Arab countries such as Egypt, Sudan, Iran and Syria for the benefit of its ally Israel. €œThis attack on Iraq is part of a new crusade to prepare the region, after dividing it, for the creation of a Greater Israel. This means the whole region will be ruled by Jews,€ he said. The recording began with bin Laden identifying the United States and its €œfoolish€ President George W. Bush as the enemy." As the ferocious "Shock and Awe" U.S. bombing of Baghdad takes place, not only is President Bush looking foolish in waging a war against Iraq that looks suspiciously like the start of a war against Islam. There are dozens of officials in his administration who are currently bragging about the next American wars seemingly at least in part on behalf of Israel. On February 17, 2003, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz carried this headline, "U.S. official to Israel: We'll deal with Syria, Iran after Iraq war." Hmm, isn€™t that exactly the same thing that Bin Laden was charging against America in the news only the day before? Worse yet, the persons this pledge was being made to were Sharon, Netanyahu, and Sharansky who happen to be well known for their determination to bring millions of more Jews from America and around the world into Israel itself as well as to maintain and expand the settlements in the West Bank and Gaza. The American official responsible for this outrageous statement is Under Secretary of State John Bolton, a close associate of the well known Jewish and Christian Zionists actually in the Bush administration or who are influencing it from neo-conservative think-tanks: Cheney, Rumsfeld, Ashcroft, Perle, Wolfowitz, Abrams. Plus many others. In President Bush€™s (justifications for war on Iraq) speech on February 26, 2003 before a gathering of his apparently favorite think-tank, he proudly proclaimed, "At the American Enterprise Institute, some of the finest minds in our nation are at work on some of the greatest challenges to our nation. You do such good work that my administration has borrowed 20 such minds." A visit to the American Enterprise Institute website, and reading the magazine of the Institute on the Internet, will quickly reveal an abundance of quotes hostile to Arabs and Islam. Example: "It is useless for the West to insist it is not at war with Islam. Islam itself is on trial here; it must now choose its path." Currently as the war on Iraq is taking place, we have been hearing that the new democratic government for the liberated Iraq will not be a puppet regime run by stooges of American and Israeli interests. It does not take long for another American official with Zionist ties to prove otherwise. At the Washington Foreign Press Center Briefing in Washington, DC on March 19, 2003, Marc Grossman, Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, happened to ridiculously claim about the new Iraqi democracy that will replace Saddam€™s tyranny, "And in terms of whether the first thing they do will be to recognize the State of Israel, I have no idea. But I certainly hope it's among the very first things that they do." So, first we install a phony democratic regime in Iraq to embrace Israel as its best buddy. Next we have an American attack on Iran and Syria and on and on with the falling dominos of Islamic countries all the way to Saudi Arabia. Will we have in their place an entire Middle East of democratic puppet regimes in service of Zionism? The American Enterprise Institute magazine has proclaimed, "We€™ll win this war!" The two illustrations of the enemy used are of the crescent and star of Islam and a photo of a vast gathering of Muslims kneeling in prayer. We will indeed win this war of our own making if we want to bomb billions of Muslims into oblivion and occupy their devastated countries, as Perle and the rest of the ultra-Zionists who influence Bush would seem to be deceptively leading us to do. If, however, we wish to win the minds and hearts of our Muslim brothers and sisters to join with them in a new century of peace, we need to listen. Why do they hate us, and why would they stop hating us? King Abdullah of Jordan stated the problem but also stated the solution as long ago as 1947, "I have the most complete confidence in the fair-mindedness and generosity of the American public. We Arabs ask no favours. We ask only that you know the full truth, not half of it." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace is patriotic! | Institute for Historical Review Learning from the September 11 Attacks By Mark Weber - September 15, 2001 Find this article at: http://www.ihr.org/jhr/v20/v20n4p-8_Weber.html Published in The Journal of Historical Review, July-August 2001 (Vol. 20, No. 4), pages 8-9. (This essay has been circulated worldwide, in English, German and Arabic, in print and on numerous websites.) With thousands of victims and riveting images of death and destruction, war has come home to America with terrible, devastating suddenness. Together with our fellow citizens, we mourn the many victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon building. But beyond the feelings of grief and fury must come clarity and understanding. President George W. Bush said on national television that "America was targeted for attack because we're the brightest beacon for freedom and opportunity in the world." The next day he said that "freedom and democracy are under attack," and that the perpetrators had struck against "all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world." But if "democracy" and "freedom-loving people" are the targets, why isn't anyone attacking Switzerland, Japan or Norway? Bush's claims are just as untrue as President Wilson's World War I declaration that the United States was fighting to "make the world safe for democracy," and President Roosevelt's World War II assurances that the U.S. was fighting for "freedom" and "democracy." In the wake of the September 11 attacks, speculation has been rife about who the perpetrators may have been. That itself is an acknowledgment that so many people hate this country so intensely that one cannot easily determine just who may have mounted these well-organized attacks of suicidal desperation. These shocking attacks were predictable. In 1993 Islamic radicals set off a bomb at the World Trade Center that claimed six lives. In August 1998 the United States carried out missile attacks against Afghanistan and Sudan, strikes that senior Clinton administration officials said signaled the start of "a real war against terrorism." In the wake of those attacks, a high-ranking U.S. intelligence official warned that "the prospect of retaliation against Americans is very, very high.'" (The Washington Post, Aug. 21, 1998, p. A1) Our political leaders and the American mass media promote the preposterous fiction that the September 11 attacks are entirely unprovoked and unrelated to United States actions. They want everyone to believe that the underlying hatred of America by so many around the world, especially in Arab and Muslim countries, that motivated the perpetrators of the September 11 attacks is unrelated to this country's policies. It is clear, however, that those who carried out these devastating suicide attacks against centers of American financial and military might were enraged by this country's decades-long support for Israel and its policies of aggression, murderous repression, and brutal occupation against Arabs and Muslims, and/or American air strikes and economic warfare against Afghanistan, Sudan, Iraq and Iran. America is the only country that claims the right to deploy troops and war planes in any corner of the globe in pursuit of what our political leaders call "vital national interests." George Washington and our country's other founders earnestly warned against such imperial arrogance, while far-sighted Americans such as Harry Elmer Barnes, Garet Garrett and Pat Buchanan voiced similar concerns in the 20th century. For most Americans modern war has largely been an abstraction -- something that happens only in far-away lands. The victims of U.S. air attack and bombardment in Vietnam, Lebanon, Sudan, Libya, Iraq and Serbia have seemed somehow unreal. Few ordinary Americans pay attention, because U.S. military actions normally have little impact on their day-to-day lives. Just as residents of Rome in the second century hardly noticed the battles fought by their troops on the outer edges of the Roman empire, residents of Seattle and Cleveland today barely concern themselves with the devastation wrought by American troops and warplanes in, for example, Iraq. Ramsey Clark, former U.S. Attorney General, has accused the United States of committing "a crime against humanity" against the people of Iraq "that exceeds all others in its magnitude, cruelty and portent." Citing United Nations agency reports and his own on-site investigations, Clark charged in 1996 that the scarcity of food and medicine as a result of sanctions against Iraq imposed by the United States since 1990, and U.S. bombings of the country, had caused the deaths of more than a million people, including more than half a million children. Madeleine Albright, Secretary of State in President Clinton's administration, defended the mass killings. During a 1996 interview she was asked: "We have heard that half a million children have died [as a result of sanctions against Iraq]. I mean, that is more children than died in Hiroshima ... Is the price worth it?" Albright replied: "... We think the price is worth it." (60 Minutes, May 12, 1996). President Bush is now pledging a "crusade," a "war against terrorism" and a "sustained campaign" to "eradicate the evil of terrorism." But such calls sound hollow given the U.S. government's own record of support for terrorism, for example during the Vietnam war. During the 1980s, the U.S. supported "terrorists" in Afghanistan -- including Osama bin Laden, now the "prime suspect" in the September 11 attacks -- in their struggle to drive out the Soviet invaders. American presidents have warmly welcomed to the White House Menachem Begin and Yitzhak Shamir, two Israeli prime ministers with well-documented records as terrorists. President Bush himself has welcomed to Washington Israel's current prime minister, Ariel Sharon, whose forces have been carrying out assassinations of Palestinian leaders and murderous "retaliatory" strikes against Palestinians. Even an official Israeli commission found that Sharon bore some responsibility for the 1982 massacres of Palestinian civilians in the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps. Jewish and Zionist leaders, and their American servants, have predictably lost no time exploiting the September 11 attacks to further their own interests. Taking advantage of the current national mood of blind rage and revenge, they demand new U.S. military action against Israel's many enemies. In the weeks to come, therefore, we can expect the U.S. government, supported by an enraged public, to lash out violently. The great danger is that an emotion-driven, reactive response will aggravate underlying tensions and encourage new acts of murderous violence. What is needed now is not a vengeful "crusade," but coherent, reasoned policies based on sanity and justice. In the months and years ahead, most Americans will doubtless continue to accept what their political leaders and the mass media tell them. But the jolting impact of the September 11 attacks -- which have, for the first time, brought to our cities the terror and devastation of attacks from the sky -- will also encourage growing numbers of thoughtful Americans to see through the lies propagated by our nation's political and cultural elite, and its Zionist allies, to impose their will around the world. More and more people will understand that their government's overseas policies inevitably have consequences even here at home. In 1948, as the Zionist state was being established in Palestine, U.S. Secretary of State George C. Marshall, along with nearly every other high-level U.S. foreign affairs specialist, warned that American support for Israel would have dire long-term consequences. Events have fully vindicated their concerns. Over the long run, the September 11 attacks will encourage public awareness of our government's imperial role in the world, including a sobering reassessment of this country's perverse "special relationship" with the Jewish ethnostate. Along with that, rage will grow against those who have subordinated American interests, and basic justice and humanity, to Jewish-Zionist ambitions. For more than 20 years the IHR has sought, through its educational work, to prevent precisely such horrors as the attacks in New York and Washington. In the years ahead, as we continue our mission of promoting greater public awareness of history and world affairs, and a greater sense of public responsibility for the policies that generated the rage behind the September 11 attacks, this work will be more important than ever. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Peace is patriotic! | From: RePorterNoteBook@aol.com Date: Fri, 17 Sep 2004 19:05:36 EDT Subject: CIA agent: President refuses the obvious -"We are not fighting criminality or terrorism" To: Sun, September 12, 2004 Why West is losing By Eric Margolis http://www.canoe.ca/NewsStand/Columnists/Toronto/Eric_Margolis/2004/09/12/6260 01.html Three years after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, America's politicians and media continue to gravely deceive the public about the so-called war on terrorism. Now the definitive book on terrorism has appeared that should be mandatory reading for every thinking person. It's called Imperial Hubris: Why The West is Losing the War on Terror. The cover simply identifies the author as "Anonymous," but he's already been widely identified in the American media as Michael Scheuer, a senior terrorism analyst for the CIA. It is unprecedented that a serving CIA officer was allowed to publish a book, one that is clearly a dramatic rebuke to the neoconservatives who drove the U.S. into two wars. Scheuer's work is a goldmine of information and brilliant analysis. It breaks taboos and sweeps away the clouds of lies about al-Qaida, Iraq and Afghanistan. He says U.S. leaders refuse to accept the obvious -- "we are fighting a worldwide Islamic insurgency -- not criminality or terrorism." The U.S. has made only "a modest dent in enemy forces." None of bin Laden's reasons for waging war on the U.S., writes Scheuer, "have anything to do with our freedom, liberty, and democracy (as President George Bush claims), but everything to do with U.S. policies and actions in the Muslim world," notably unlimited support for Israel's repression of the Palestinians and the destruction of Iraq. "For cheap, easily accessible oil, Washington and the West have supported Muslim tyrannies (Osama) bin Laden and other Islamists seek to destroy," Scheuer writes. "The war has the potential to last beyond our children's lifetimes and be fought mostly on U.S. soil." A coup for bin Laden Bin Laden, argues Scheuer, is widely viewed by much of the Muslim world, infuriated by American actions in the Mideast, as neither a terrorist or madman but as a skilled warrior, the sole Muslim leader standing up to predatory western powers. Ironically U.S. and British military intervention in Afghanistan and Iraq "are completing the radicalization of the Islamic world," a prime bin Laden goal. Bush's misbegotten invasion of Iraq was "icing on bin Laden's cake." The threat today facing America "is the defensive jihad (holy struggle), an Islamic military reaction triggered by an attack by non-Muslims on the Islamic faith, on Muslims, on Muslim territory." Muslims are increasingly fighting back. The Muslim world believes it is under total attack led by Bush -- a massive effort to crush all who oppose U.S. domination, destroy Islam's inherent political role, eliminate Muslim charities, impose western values on the Islamic world and maintain puppet rulers -- "spreading democracy" in Bush's lexicon. Ter rorism is merely the tactics of the poor fighting the rich. The ultimate taboo "U.S. military operations in the Muslim world," he adds, "validate bin Laden's contention the U.S. is attacking Islam and supports any country willing to kill or persecute Muslims." Scheuer, breaking the ultimate taboo, observes of Washington's "one-way alliance" with Israel that "Israelis have succeeded in lacing tight the ropes binding the American Gulliver to the ... Jewish state and its policies." The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are lost causes, Scheuer concludes. The U.S. is totally unable to create legitimate governments in either chaotic nation, only puppet regimes, supported by American bayonets. If the U.S. stays, it will bleed endlessly; if it retreats, it faces political disaster. Washington, he charges, has no strategy and is merely "winging it." In one of his most acute insights, Scheuer explains the U.S. cannot, for all of its riches, buy its way to victory in Afghanistan or Iraq. "Honour is still the currency of value in the Middle East, more so than goods and services." Blood-links trump all other affiliations or loyalties. Honour is why the Taliban refused to hand over bin Laden to the U.S., a man they regarded as their guest and a war hero, and why he has still not been betrayed in spite of a $25-million US reward in a nation where the annual income is $147. At least there is one person in Washington who understands the violence surrounding us -- and has the courage and patriotism to tell Americans the truth: Their own arrogance and ignorance are driving them into a no-win war against 1.3 billion Muslims. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace is patriotic! David America has just experienced the most spectacular and deadly terror attack in modern history. Four hijacked passenger planes were flown directly into the New York World Trade Center and the Pentagon in Washington. Thousands of Americans were maimed and killed. The cost of this tragedy to American taxpayers is not known yet, but you can expect it to be tens of billions of dollars. This dastardly attack will undoubtedly cause America to suffer huge economic losses and change the way Americans have leisurely lived and traveled for decades. It may even lead to an American and worldwide depression. These terrible acts of terrorism must be fought with every ounce of American resolve. And those who commit such heinous acts must be punished to the fullest extent of the law. No such act must ever be permitted on American soil. We Americans must ask ourselves why we are hated by such groups. Why do people sacrifice their lives to bring terror on our soil? Why is there terrorism against the United States of America? Unless we understand the "why" of these acts, we can never completely prevent such acts in the future. For every nation is vulnerable, and always will be, to those who are willing to sacrifice their lives to kill others. That's why it is equally important, if not more so, to find out what causes terrorism as it is to strike back at terrorism. The news media have done its best to tell us who is responsible for this bloody attack on the American people but nobody yet has told us why the attack took place. All that we know is that a bunch of "Arab Muslim cowards" committed this act. Calling the attackers "cowards" may not be the best way to describe them. The terrorists committed an indescribably horrible and ruthless act against the American people, but calling them cowards is not the best description. Kamikazes may be misguided, but sacrificing one's own life for a cause has never been called cowardice. And using words such as cowards or madmen doesn't answer the question of why these horrendous acts occurred, unless one thinks every coward and madman wants to blow up the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Those descriptions help prevent people from discovering the reason why the event actually occurred. And, if we want to prevent such occurrences from happening in the future, it is absolutely vital to understand "why." Maybe a good question to ask is why these "crazy," "cowardly," Arabs never attack Switzerland or Sweden? What could it be that these countries do, or don't do that causes them to be ignored while we are targeted. Let me be direct and come straight to the point. The cause of this terrorism is our involvement in and support of the criminal behavior of the Israeli government. You can be certain that you will never hear this accusation from the controlled news media, but nevertheless, let the truth be known. It may not be the "political correct" response, but political correctness is not one of my concerns. You see, the Palestinians and many of their Arab allies have been the target of a half-century of unrelenting Israeli terrorism. Israel took over Palestine and drove out over 800,000 people from their homes through horrendous acts of terrorism. Among those acts was the sadistic massacre of over 250 Palestinian old men, women and children at Deir Yassin. After the bloodletting, the Jews then purposely publicized the event so as to make the people flee in panic from their homes and businesses from which they still haven't been allowed to return. The terror also was applied to the British, such as the horrendous bombing of the King David Hotel in Jerusalem. Not only did they establish their Israeli state over Palestinian land, the Jews took the Palestinians' personal property: their land, farms, homes and businesses. After driving out the Palestinian refugees and refusing their return, they then passed an "abandonment land" law that gave it to the Jews. In 1980s Israel killed an estimated 40,000 civilians as it invaded the nation of Lebanon and relentlessly bombed and attacked cities and villages, including the ancient and beautiful city of Beirut. The current Prime Minister of Israel, Ariel Sharon, oversaw the massacre of thousands of refugees in the Sabra and Shatila camps in Lebanon. And what about Iraq? Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright called the death of 500,000 Iraqi children from starvation due to UN sanctions, "acceptable and worth it" during a CBS interview on "60 Minutes" a few years ago. In other words, it's worth having 500,000 Iraqi children die in misery in order to safeguard Israel's position. It has not stopped since. Israel has more prisoners per capita than any other nation of the world, more than Stalinist Russia, or Red China during their worst periods. It routinely tortures its Palestinian prisoners, and is in fact the only nation in the modern world that legally sanctions torture. Israel has targeted and assassinated thousands of Palestinian leaders, and this includes scholars, clerics, businessmen, philosophers and poets, anyone who inspires the Palestinian people to restoration of their homeland. These assassinations have occurred all over the world, even in the United States. In the process, they have killed many thousands of women and children. Even today, while America reads of the World Trade Center Tragedy, Israeli troops have killed 20 Palestinians in less than 72 hours, including two young Palestinian girls, ages 9 and 11 and one Palestinian boy, age 14. Ariel Sharon is taking advantage of America's tragedy to hide any news coverage of his continued carnage and destruction to the Palestinian people. In addition to the many human rights violations committed against the Palestinian people, Amnesty International, in 1999, reported that "Since 1987 the Israeli authorities have demolished at least 2,650 Palestinian homes in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.... As a result 16,700 Palestinians (including 7,300 children) have lost their homes." In addition, the Israelis have uprooted over 100,000 olive trees which were, in many cases, the only sources of income for these Palestinian farmers. These homes and olive trees were demolished with American made bulldozers while the leaders in Washington looked the other way, giving the green light to these Israeli barbaric acts. And it has not just been the Palestinians who have suffered Israeli terror. In April 1996 the Israeli military targeted a Lebanese Refugee Camp in Qana, Lebanon that killed 103 innocent men, women, and especially children, in which a U.N. investigation found Israel to be at fault. When a vote was taken in the United Nations to condemn Israel for the killings, the United States was the only country to vote against the condemnation. What does that tell the rest of the world? Every Palestinian and Arab is aware that Israel's half century of terror could never have occurred without the active financial, military, and diplomatic support of the United States. They know that the Jewish Lobby has dominant control of American Mideast Policy. They know that almost every bomb that kills their people comes from America. Every bullet, every tank, every fighter plane, is manufactured or paid for by American dollars. It is America's billions of dollars of support that have enabled the Jewish state to terrorize the Arab people for half a century. That is why the Arabs hate us; and that is why they are trying to strike back at us. That is why we will continue to be vulnerable to men who willingly give up their lives to avenge their people. Striking back at the terrorists is important, but getting to the source of terrorism is even more important. It's time to get tough with Israel. James J. To: Americans wouldn't accept living under an Israeli occupation for 36 minutes, much less 36 years... Hello: ...........Robbin, you call them "terrorists"............I call them "freedom fighters." I don't blame the terrorists/freedom fighters for attacking America..........considering the fact of history in this issue.........particularly, the U.S. government's role in funding and arming Israel with nuclear weapons and complete navy, air force, special forces, M1-A1 Abrams tanks, Apache helicopters, etc.,.......which Israel uses to kill Palestinians........no wonder they hate and attack us......we've been funding and facilitating Israel's illegal occupation and war against Palestine for 36 years now......our Democratic and Republican parties have a shameful legacy of supporting Israel's unlawful deadly activity for decades now. If Bush was a real American, he would tell the American people the truth: The reason the terrorists attack and hate us IS BECAUSE our government has funded and armed Israel in their unlawful war and occupation of Palestine. Then, Bush should cut off all U.S. funding to Israel until Israel, ".... Complies with the U.N. resolutions," as President Bush so frequently told Saddam Hussein. The point is, we need a president and congress who refuses to be bought off by Israeli special interest groups in Washington, and do the business of the American people -- instead of granting Israeli wishes. The U.S. government is hated worldwide because of U.S. hypocrisy in our policy of favoritism for Israel over the rule of law. The world community considers America a great hypocrite since Bush calls for Muslims to comply with U.N. resolutions while Bush refuses, REFUSES to call for Israel to comply with over 100 U.N. resolutions Israel has been in violation of for decades now. What are the terrorists/freedom fighters supposed to do? Nothing? Are they supposed to thank us for funding and arming Israel? Are they supposed to sit quietly by while our government and Israel continue to intentionally violate international law -- occupying Palestine and killing Palestinians? Americans wouldn't accept living under an Israeli occupation for 36 minutes, much less 36 years. Wake up America!!!! Bush is goddamn stupid, he actually said: "I wouldn't want to be occupied either - nobody wants to be occupied." Bush was referring to his occupation of Iraq. Has he ever heard of the illegal Israeli occupation of Palestine? Ron Harold studioron@verizon.net ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace is patriotic!
