| BBC likes to overlook basic facts when they are inconvenient...
- Israel already had the war essentially won.
- There was no motive for the Israelis to knowingly attack a US Navy ship.
- The Israeli planes and boats were marked with Israeli markings.
- The Israelis could have sunk the Liberty in minutes without witnesses if that had been the intention.
- The Israelis immediately broke off the attack and offered assistance when the Liberty finally signalled its identity.

The war lasted six days. 6 days. The Liberty incident occurred on the 4th day. On the day prior, the Israeli fourth division was already preventing Egyptian retreats. At 1530 hrs on June 8, Egypt accepted a cease fire.
Israel already had the war essentially won once it had destroyed the Arab air forces.

My statement is supported by crew sworn testimony. You, however, believe that the crewmembers lied under oath.
