You cannot definitively say that.
Some of those who were SELECTED to give testimony were unconscious for the bulk of the action. Some of those who gave testimony at the Naval Board of Inquiry - an inquiry with NO legal basis - are deceased and cannot retract their statements.
The crew were instructed at the time on the US position in relation to the attack BEFORE they SELECTED people to give testimony. Some who gave testimony to the court were not included in the findings.
Some who were the active senior officers at the time of the attack due to the captain being disabled during the attack were NOT asked to give testimony.
Now, in anyones book, that makes the inquiry into the attack a flawed one and the crewmembers who weren't selected for testimony, or had their testimony ignored or who had their testimony abridged want a new inquiry with a legal basis to hear the case again and to hear a much wider testimony from those who were in fact eyewitnesses.
Apart from being an Israeli whore, why would you want to deny brave US servicemen their day in court?

Your statement that the Court of Inquiry had no legal basis is simply absurd.

There is absolutely no evidence of that.

The Captain remained on the bridge and in full command during the entire incident.

Word was passed again to standby for torpedo attack starboard side and again word went out for signalmen. Once again I told them I could not read flags, but if I could be of service. I was asked to report to the bridge, which I did. When I got up there, Signalman David was attempting to rig a hand light. I assisted him. We went to the starboard wing of the bridge and one torpedo boat was making a run straight at us off the starboard beam while the other two stood off. At the Captain;s directions, David sent, "US Naval Ship" "US Naval Ship". When they were about 500 yards off, the torpedo boat turned astern and came up on the stern on the starboard side and flashed, "Do you need help?"

A. This was after the torpedo hit us, and we were surprised by the attack. The Captain gave us word. He said, "no, thank you." We sent this back to the boat, and our steering was somewhat erratic and they came up on the port side then. David went across, I followed him, and saw on the last part of that message, David said, "Do you want us to standby?" I passed this word to the Captain. He said, "no, thank you." We sent this to the patrol boat. They came up along port side, I say roughly 100 yards off, flashed "good luck" and dropped astern along with the other two which had come up to the stern, to a mile or a mile and a half back, just out of sight. Then they made one high speed run directly astern and somewhere between a quarter and a half mile back mad a u-turn and disappeared. That was the last we saw of them. The USS Liberty Veterans Organization has said there has been bo Congressional Investigation. They offered proof and their word of honors. They have never been caught in a fabrication, a recantation or fabrication. They just want a honest days hearing in court denied them for 40 years.
You oppose it on all grounds for no other reason than to perpetuate this injustice. You have smeared their names and their integrity, their memories and their passion for an injustice to be righted. Saying you haven't changes nothing. Your motives and purposes speak for themselves.
You could care less about the Liberty crew or their families. So stop pretending, you are irrelevant on this forum, everyone knows this.

About what you neocon troll? What specifically are you trolling about as to whether Thompson lied or not? The whole Court of Inquiry was a farce predetermined by Washington and Israel long before the USS Davis arrived on the scene.
