In actual fact the transaction was illegally backdated - a speciality of the London banking system. Somehow the then financially naive (relatively speaking) Putin found out about this trick (someone sent him an educational e-mail) and he managed to grab Khodorkovsky as he was boarding his plane.
The emptying out of the Russian economy by the Jewish "oligarchs" was entirely funded by the London Rothschilds.

Murdered Russian ex-spy Alexander Litvinenko passed documents to former Yukos CEO in Israel months before his death . . .
