A BuzzFlash reader sent us the following exchange from CNN's "Capital
Gang" that pretty much says it all: the Iraq Attack is about this
administration picking a target (that just happens to have the second
largest oil reserves) and deciding that it is going to colonize it, no
matter what.

If anyone has any doubts, we refer you to the revealing juxtaposition of
headlines we posted last week as they appeared, one atop the other, on
Yahoo news (see http://www.buzzflash.com/analysis/03/01/14_Irony.html).
Here are the two headlines: "Time Running Out for Iraq, Bush Says" and
"Bush Offers North Korea Incentive to Disarm" It's mind boggling that the
bumbling Bush Cartel still has an ounce of credibility with the media or
with the American public. But, let's remember that when Congress voted to
give Bush authorization to attack Iraq, Congressional offices were
reporting an overwhelming number of calls in opposition to a war. And
most polls indicate that the vast majority of Americans don't want our
"all hat and no cattle" White House puppet invading Iraq unless it is done
under the auspices of the U.N.

Nonetheless, the daily farce continues with the Bush Cartel brazenly
asserting, in its typical Orwellian fashion, that no proof of Weapons of
Mass Destruction in Iraq is actually proof that they exist. Meanwhile,
instead of threatening war against North Korea, the Bush administration is
trying to bribe a nation (one of Dim Son's axis of evil powers) to disarm
as the country openly flaunts its development of WMD. How can any
rational adult accept the Bush Cartel as a legitimate government when they
spout such nonsense as a rational basis for a foreign policy, let alone a
war?

Well, the following comments by Bob Novak, Bush Cartel shill and insider,
go a long way toward reinforcing that we are dealing with a Dr.
Strangelove administration. According to Novak, one Bush Cartel heavy
complained, "Well, if we don't hit in Iraq, where are we going to hit?"

Novak asserts that the whole Iraq attack is about how the administration
wants to show that is a bad hombre (and don't forgot the pirate's booty of
the oil fields that comes with it).

How can we continue to let the lunatics run the asylum?

Novak even asserts that the Bush right wing psychotics don't want Saddam
to go into exile because then the Bush Cartel couldn't make an example of
Iraq by killing thousands of people, including our own soldiers. Well,
those were BuzzFlash's words, but here is how Novak phrased it: "But the
last thing that the hawks inside the administration, and their friends
outside the administration, want is a coup d'etat that would replace
Saddam Hussein. They want a war as a manifestation of U.S. power in the
world and as a sign that the United States is capable of changing the
balance of power and the political map of the Middle East."

ROBERT NOVAK, CAPITAL GANG: I can't imagine that anybody would say, We're
going to war because there are 11 empty warheads, probably left over from
10 years ago. These warheads are not the nuclear weapons we've been warned
about. They travel about 12 miles.

But this is being used as a pretext for a decision that's already been
made at high levels of the U.S. government to change the government in
Iraq. It has nothing to do with, boy, we're -- we are really worried about
these little chemical warheads that's going to cause a holocaust in the
Middle East.

Most disturbing thing is that Secretary of State Powell, a lot of people
were relying on to keep some sanity, played the good soldier this week and
said that at the end of the month, there would be more evidence. If
there's more, if there's evidence, why not put it out now?

NOVAK: That's exactly right. But the last thing that the hawks inside the
administration, and their friends outside the administration, want is a
coup d'etat that would replace Saddam Hussein. They want a war as a
manifestation of U.S. power in the world and as a sign that the United
States is capable of changing the balance of power and the political map
of the Middle East.

There's no question that the last thing they want is Saddam Hussein put on
a plane and taken...

O'BEIRNE: Bob, Bob, speaking...

NOVAK: ... to -- taken away.

O'BEIRNE: ... speaking, speaking for this hawk, I want to see a regime in
Baghdad that would not be armed with weapons of mass destruction. That
might not happen through a coup. If that could happen through a coup, you
could avoid war.

SHIELDS: But Bob, that's a pretty serious charge (UNINTELLIGIBLE). You're
saying that there are people, I mean, who almost have a blood lust in this
administration.

NOVAK: Listen, (UNINTELLIGIBLE) don't (UNINTELLIGIBLE)...

SHIELDS: (UNINTELLIGIBLE), you're saying they want war.

NOVAK: All right. Talking to a senior official, and he said to me, he
said, Well, if we don't hit in Iraq, where are we going to hit? And they
-- it's a desire that the United States, the superpower, is going to
manifest its authority to the rest of the world.

Listen, I just feel that this potential -- this war, I just trust it comes
off easily. But I have trepidation that it won't be easy, and there's
going to be terrible consequences from it.

A BUZZFLASH NOTE: Where is Osama bin Laden? What are we doing to stop
terrorists from buying guns in the United States? What are we doing to
settle the Israeli-Palestinian conflict? Did Bush's namecalling rattle the
cage of North Korea, provoking them to restart their nuclear program? How
will Iraqi citizens love us when we plan to kill thousands of them? Wonder
if the "restoration of democracy" in Iraq leads to a fundamentalist
leadership, replacing a secular (albeit loony)leader? How will this war
make us safer from terrorists, when our limited resources are being
diverted to decimate a country run by a fool? Once we make "an example of
Iraq," who is going to stop a terrorist from floating a nuclear device up
the Hudson River? Not the clowns in this administration. They have no
sense of subtlety. They are driven by an obsessive madness for war that
begets more war. They don't can't fathom protecting us from terrorism in
any other way than launching a war in which thousands upon thousands of
people will die, because they are linear thinkers who don't know how.

(EIRNS) - One of the "Mega" agencies that mobilized to quash the Fox TV pick-up of our Israeli spy scandal was JINSA, the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs. JINSA President and CEO David Steinmann is also a director of CAMERA (Committee for Accurate Middle East Reporting in America), the group that actually staged the e-mail, fax, letter, and phone call mobilization that squeezed Fox TV, to the point that they removed the transcripts of the four Carl Cameron segments from their own web site. While CAMERA lists Tom Lantos among its advisors, along with Sharon cabinet minister Natan Sharansky, it is JINSA that is the real hotbed of "Mega" and "X Committee" clout, particular inside the Pentagon. On its own website, JINSA boasts that "Only one think tank puts the U.S.-Israel strategic relationship {first} -- JINSA!" JINSA lists among its directors: Richard Perle, Steven Bryen (whose wife, Shoshana Bryen is still one of the few full-time JINSA employees), Max Kampelman, Jeanne Kirkpatrick, Jack Kemp, Michael Ledeen, Joshua Muravchik, Kenneth Timmermann, and James Woolsey. Beyond these hardcore "X Committee" operatives, JINSA's board also includes a dozen or more retired flag grade U.S. military officers, including Lt. Gen. Anthony Burshnick (USAF), Gen. Crosbie Saint (USA), Maj. Gen. Lee Downer (USAF), Adm. Leon Edney (USN), Gen. John Foss (USA), Adm. David Jeremiah (USN), Adm. Jerome Johnson (USN), Maj. Gen. Jarvis Lynch (USMC), Rear Adm. Sumner Shapiro (USN). JINSA makes no bones about the fact that it is recruiting an Israeli fifth column inside the U.S. military command. They sponsor frequent all-expense-paid junkets to Israel for retired officers, which are co-sponsored by the Israeli Defense Force; they run an exchange program for military academy cadets at West Point, Annapolis and the Air Force Academy with military institutes in Israel; and they host lecture programs at all the military institutions in the U.S. where they bring in top IDF and Israeli intelligence officials. One of the top figures on the JINSA lecture circuit is Dore Gold, who is a top aide to Sharon and is about to come to Washington as the Israeli ambassador. JINSA's output of policy papers and press releases also makes clear that they are leading proponents of the "Clash of Civilizations," and the drive to lure the U.S. into a suicidal military alliance with an Israeli marcher lord state. Typical of JINSA's operations of late are their sponsorship of a series of lectures by Iraqi National Congress honcho Chulabi, and their Sept. 13 press statement, calling for the U.S. to "go beyond bin Laden" to launch military attacks against Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Syria, Sudan, the Palestinian Authority, Libya, Algeria, "and even our presumed friends Saudi Arabia and Egypt." The release demanded that the U.S. bomb Beirut and Damascus, cut military aid to Egypt, and revoke the Presidential ban on assassinations.
