Hello Buttercup,

Undoubtedly there are many crimes perpetrated by men who address each other as 'The Rt. Honourable Gentleman.' Despite the work of several brave investigators details of these crimes are always snuffed out long before they reach the mainstream. I am now starting to appreciate that the only evidence acceptable to the majority is that which is presented, in part at least, by 'acceptable' news sources.

It seems that a simple name change is sufficient to wipe away any sordid history associated with Benning. The simplest tricks are often the most effective. The good news is that the mainstream media are a forgetful bunch thus allowing at least half the truth to be gained from their own archives despite their efforts at total concealment. I think this is the way forward. If any ground can be gained using this method it might offer a path into the areas that are presently untouchable.

You mentioned John's posting on AOL. Examine the responses and you will see the nature of the problem.

Hello A.T.

It is morning now, like you I seem to need very little sleep.

I was thinking about Johns post when this posting came through,

It was very intereting to note, that John placed Harry and myself together.

and A.T. it was even more interesting to note, that the reply from both

Harry and myself were almost identical.

This posting I will answer either later today or tomorrow.

Hello Buttercup,

By my clock it is still lunchtime - then again I keep strange hours. I have to say I was concentrating more on the responses of others in the thread you speak of, although you may have seen me note that everyone played their role rather well. In a way the thread was a neat summary of what the AOL board has become and what I hope to avoid here. I'm sure that everyone will assist my endeavours. After all, there is more to this forum than immediately meets the eye.

Hello A.T.

Good evening to you.

Shall we see how far I get today without pressing the wrong buttons, or being called away.

Now Fort Benning. from Jan 2001 w.h.i.s.c. I must admit I had never

heard of it, indeed why should I have done so. Lots of information is

buried, and when things change names I guess they kind of hope that

information will be changed as well.

With the net things are now a lot different, and normally it is possible to

find out things buried in the archives.

I have come to the conclusion most people are Sun readers, and unless it

is handed to them in sensational form do not really want to know.

With regards to Johns posting, yes the answers were pretty much as one

would have predicted and yes it did become a very neat summary. A.T. at

the moment it looks as though this forum is going the same way, which I

consider to be a great pity.

You do indeed keep strange hours, I don't think I have ever had Lunch at

1 a.m. Although perhaps my habit of having steak and eggs for

breakfast, would be considered strange.

Hello Buttercup,

There have been some more views relating to Fort Benning posted to AOL. I think the excuse of ignorance that some are now offering when this subject comes up, in the hope that the topic will go away I presume, is a clear indicator that many are locked into this war mentality and find little need to consider any question or evidence that detracts from the supposed justification for our latest global interventions. Many have confused this self induced ignorance with patriotism and loyalty. For anyone wishing to look a little deeper into the motives that drive western policy For Benning is an excellent place to start. Simply tracking the careers of its more influential graduates gives the chance to examine American foreign policy from an entirely different perspective to that offered up by Washington. Fort Benning - a very important piece of American history.

I don't know about everyone being a Sun reader. To my mind, the rest of the media haven't been doing much of a job either when it has come to laying out balanced fact for public consumption. I now look for the writing of certain journalists rather than the stated position of individual media organisations. I read Andrew Sullivan as readily as I read John Pilger, obviously for different reasons. Melanie Phillips is a particular favourite and she sets the tidemark below which I consider all journalistic effort to be pure hate or fantasy.

As for this forum, yet again I say it will become what people make it. As long as useful opinion is allowed to emerge and is not swamped by total bullshit the forum serves a purpose. We have already had far more discussion over certain issues than is ever allowed on AOL. There are less people here who decide to disrupt by wandering off topic, evading the issue of provoking useless argument between select individuals. If you can see signs of this now emerging I suggest you have words with the guilty party or parties and make known your feelings. So far, I feel, so good. You should also consider that some posters are using this forum as an information store and resource which is not possible with AOL.

Hello peeps. Nice to see you all again and glad someone has had the sense and ability to do this. You may have noticed my absence from the AOL board lately (or not). Had enough of being censored for silly things once again but didn't throw my dummy out this time, just faded away as old soldiers do. Thank you to Feistya for sending me an email to tell me of the site. One suggestion, how about a chat room on here or is that going too far?

Alan,

Better late than never but your chat feature is now online. Join via the link at the bottom of the index page. This is open to all registered users.

Interesting concept.
I, at least was able to get on board in one try not counting registering
of course, but had difficulty in figuring out that this board did not
want my screen name but real name instead.

:? :? :? :?

Help Exclamation Exclamation When I tried to post this, this board told me that
my name is ALREADY TAKEN. Now, how in the Planet, can my own
real name already be taken?????

Hello Richard,

You don't have to use your real name to register, you can use any nickname you like provided somebody hasn't already chosen it. Judging by your use of the term 'screen name' I guess that you are an AOL user. If so, you do not have to use your AOL screen name here - this forum is unrelated to AOL.

If you would like to mail me at itsadmin@itszone.co.uk with the name you are attempting to use I will try to sort out the problem for you. Can you include complete details of the error message you are receiving?

Thanks and welcome to the forum.
