| Subj: President Bush learns so much from his mentor Ariel Sharon (copy) Date: 6/12/02 10:19:21 PM Pacific Daylight Time http://www.warwithoutend.co.uk/middle-east-and-asia/index.php June 12, 2002 Editor The Student Voice scott.r.johnson@uwrf.edu mattperenchio@hotmail.com UW-River Falls River Falls, WI President Bush appears to be doing everything in his power to inflame the passions of 250 million Arabs against the United States. His virtual genuflection before Israeli prime minister Sharon by remarking that he always learns something from him every time he meets with him. One has to ask, is this the mark of a statesman or is President Bush simply confirming what so many of us suspected before his election by the Supreme Court to the presidency - a Republican version of Mad Magazine's Alfred E. Newman? President Bush keeps affirming the right of Israel to defend itself. He never has stated that the Palestinians have a right to defend themselves against the Israelis who have been killing them at a ratio of 6-1. President Bush has assured us that we are under attack by Muslim extremists because they are envious of America and its democratic political institutions. How simplistic can he be and how stupid does he believe the American people must be to accept such nonsense. America has supplied Israel with over a hundred billion dollars over the years which has helped to make Israel the leading terrorist nation in the Middle East. To re-capitulate: Israel, along with France and England attacked Egypt in 1956. Israel started the 1967 war of conquest wherein her armed forces conquered the Sinai, Gaza and the West Bank. In 1982, Israel invaded Lebanon and caused the deaths of some 20,000 Palestinian and Lebanese civilians while Ariel Sharon aided pChristian Falangist thugs to murder some 2,000 Palestinian men, women and children in the refugee camps of Sabra and Shatilla. It's time President Bush is told that the source of his "information" is a biased and interested party as it appears he lacks the intelligence to figure that out for himself.
