Amalek, Haman, Purim and Saddam Hussein

Now I will allow an Israeli to tell the story from his perspective:

This War is for Us

by Ariel Natan Pasko

Arutz Sheva

March, 26 2003

Stop and think for a moment: the last Gulf War in 1991 ended erev - just before - Purim. This Gulf War began motzei - just after - Shushan Purim. Get the picture?

Of course this war against Iraq and Saddam Hussein is for us ...

... this war is for us - i.e., the Jews and Israel. Chazal - our sages - throughout the ages have explained the Torah, telling us that everything that happens in the world is for the benefit of the Jewish People.

Simply put another way, if all the world is a stage, then the Jews - and especially those in the Land of Israel - are the lead actors on the stage of history, and the goyim - the nations, i.e. the gentiles - have supporting roles, while the evil-doers are props and background scenery. As our tradition states, G-D - the great playwright - created the world for the sake of the Jewish People, and it is our responsibility to implement the Torah - absolute morality and the blueprint of creation - in it.

Stop and think for a moment: the last Gulf War in 1991 ended erev - just before - Purim. This Gulf War began motzei - just after - Shushan Purim. Get the picture? In between, "The Jews had light, and gladness, and joy, and honor." (Book of Esther 8:16)

Read the Purim story in Megilat Esther again, it is a rags to riches story on a national scale. Haman, the proto-typical anti-Semite, plans mass murder of the Jews and in the end pays with his life, the life of his ten sons - all hanged - and the Jews kill 75, 800 members of the anti-Semitic - i.e. Nazi - party of the time.

... As I said earlier, of course this war is for the Jews and Israel, and instead of hiding from the accusation, or crying, "anti-Semitic slur", we should gratefully acknowledge what the Master of the Universe is doing to our enemies for us. Saddam Hussein, Yasser Arafat, Bashar Assad, Osama Bin-Laden, and the other dictators, terrorists and mullahs of the region, are the modern day Hamans ...

Perhaps this Israeli's excitement with wars against "modern day Hamans" coinciding with Purim, the holiday commemorating the Jews' vengeance against Haman, can be understood in light of Judaic messianic prophesy:

"But withal redemption will not be complete until Amalek will be exterminated, for against Amalek the oath was taken that “the Lord will have war against Amalek from generation to generation” (Ex. XVII,16). (Soncino Zohar, Bereshith, Folio 25b)

Amalek, Haman, Ahmadinejad and Reincarnation

In the Book of Esther, the villain, Haman, is the minster of the King of Persia which is today called Iran. Here we see that the rabbis identify Haman as a direct descendant of Amalek, the tribe which the rabbis preach must be exterminated before the Judaic "redemption" can take place.

Shabbat Zakhor: (Heb. rvkz TYQ; "Sabbath of Remembrance"), the second of the four special Sabbaths. It is the Sabbath before Purim. The name derives from the additional Torah portion read from Deuteronomy 25:17–19 whose theme is the duty "to remember" what Amalek did to Israel. The traditional belief is that Haman the Agagite was a direct descendant of Agag, the king of the Amalekites (e.g., I Sam. 15:9ff.). (Encyclopedia Judaica, "Sabbaths, Special")

The above mentioned Shabbat Zakhor is the Judaic Sabbath that falls before Purim. It is mandatory for all Orthodox Judaics to hear the reading of the Parshat Zachor on this day each year when they are reminded to make war against "Amalek," directly connected with Haman, for eternity:

"... the Sages have prescribed the public reading of [Parshat Zachor] once every year, on the Shabbat which precedes Purim - so that the 'wiping-out' of Amalek might be adjacent to the 'wiping-out' of Haman, the latter being a descendant of Amalek."

http://www.ou.org/chagim/fourshabbatot/zachor.htm

In the last blog entry it was shown that Amalek was actually completely eradicated 500 years before Christ (1st Chronicles 4;43) by the true Israelites but that the rabbis have throughout history falsely labeled individuals and groups as "Amalek" and subject to extermination. The rabbinic doctrine of reincarnation (gilgul) was also briefly mentioned.

... metempsychosis [reincarnation] is taken for granted in the Kabbalah from its first literary expression in the Sefer ha-Bahir (published in late 12th century) ... From the period of the Zohar on, the term gilgul became prevalent in Hebrew literature and began to appear in philosophic works as well. (Encyclopedia Judaica, "Gilgul")

Let's look at a few recent examples of Judaic attempts to conflate the current President of Iran with Haman from the Book of Esther:

"There’s more than passing irony in the fact that the most infamous anti-Semite of antiquity, the hater whose downfall Jews celebrate on Purim, was a prominent official of an empire centered in what’s now Iran.

Like the Persian royal adviser Haman, Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad ..." ("Haman, Ahmadinejad, and us," Rabbi Avi Shafran, Jewish Standard, March 9, 2006)

http://www.jstandard.com/articles/730/1/Haman,-Ahmadinejad,-and-us

There is no end to the amount of homilies that rabbis will spin out of the story of Purim. Pending what’s in the New York Times that week, Vashti, Esther and Mordechai all become transformed into real-life characters. Usually this sermonic game ends up with someone asking, “So, rabbi, who is today’s Haman?” Usually this crude question engenders an equally crude but far more dangerous political answer. God knows how many people have been labeled Haman who, in other contexts, would be seen as a Mordechai. Rarely do we actually have a real breathing Haman standing right before our eyes.

This year, however, I am sad to say, but it seems there is such a man, the Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. ("Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: The New Haman," Rabbi Eliyahu Stern, Virtual Talmud, February 27, 2007)

http://blog.beliefnet.com/virtualtalmud/2007/02/mahmuod-ahmadinejad-new-haman.html

"Help stamp out a modern day Haman"

http://www.babaganewz.com/teachers/pdfs/6701lesson.pdf

And here we see an Israeli comic which openly depicts Ahmadinejad as the reincarnation of Haman and suggests that "the civilized world" has a responsibility to destroy him.

Yup. Ahmadinejad, the modern reincarnation of Haman of Persia is both a test for the civilized world and a trial for Israel. The future is looking more and more like the past. As the old curse goes: "May you live in interesting times!"

...And a Happy Purim to us all.

Don't get caught up in the delusional Judaic attempt to force their own "redemption" by destroying their perceived ancient enemy whom they believe to be reincarnated in the President of Iran.

More on Amalek

In the last blog entry we learned that the rabbis teach that Judaics bring about their "redemption" through their own actions (Tikkun Olam) and that the Judaic "redemption" cannot fully take place until the Tikkun of the complete extermination of Amalek.

The Jewish Encyclopedia further clarifies this concept:

... the rabbis say: "Never will the throne of God—the Lord of Truth, Justice, and Love—be fully established until the seed of Amalek—the principle of hatred and wrongdoing—be destroyed forever (Pesiḳ., l.c., and Targ. Yer. I. and II. to Ex. l.c.). Henceforth "Amalek" became the popular term for Jew-hater. (Jewish Encyclopedia, "Amalek")

http://www.jewishencyclopedia.com/view.jsp?artid=1351&letter=A&search=amalek

We will get back to that thought on "Amalek" becoming "a popular term for 'Jew'-hater" but now that we know of the rabbinic mandate to exterminate Amalek as a condition for Judaic "redemption," we need to identify who exactly Amalek is. Who is it that the rabbis say it's necessary to exterminate.

Biblical Scripture speaks of Amalek as a tribe that waged war with the Israelites of whom God said, "I will destroy the memory of Amalec from under heaven" and of whom Moses wrote, "...the hand of the throne of the Lord, and the war of the Lord shall be against Amalec, from generation to generation." (Exodus 17;14-16) Needless to say, this is a far cry from Christ's teaching to love one's enemies, but such was the state of things prior to the true redemption through Christ's sacrifice on the cross.

But regarding the extermination of Amalek, Scripture indeed records that Amalek was completely destroyed to the last man in 1 Chronicles, 4;43, "And they slew the remnant of the Amalecites, who had been able to escape, and they dwelt there in their stead unto this day." This is circa 500 B.C.

Now, we have seen the quotation from the Zohar which dates circa 1300 A.D. which mandates the extermination of Amalek as a condition for Judaic redemption, but we have also seen from the Bible that Amalek was completely exterminated at the time of King David, more than 500 years before Christ. Therefore God's curse against Amalek has had no valid application for over 2500 years. Yet, the rabbis continue to wage war against foes they brand as "Amalek" 2500 years after Amalek was completely wiped out by true Israel.

There are many things to learn about the rabbinic tradition from this example. First, the fact that Amalek has been nothing but a memory for 2500 years doesn't discourage the rabbis from misappropriating and resuscitating the curse against Amalek for their purposes. Certainly, the usefulness of a curse as harsh as that placed upon Amalek--complete extermination under divine mandate--is stuff the rabbis salivate for. So, as usual, the rabbis turn Scripture upside down, in this case by drudging up a curse which Scripture itself put to rest 2500 years ago.

Secondly, we can see what machinations impatience inspires while waiting for over 1000 years for a "redemption" that will never come. The rabbis figure that since the "redemption" has not yet occurred, it must be because Amalek has not been completely wiped out yet, even though Scripture states quite plainly that Amalek was completely wiped out circa 500 B.C.

Thirdly, a vengeful, warlike people who believe in reincarnation are likely to see ancient enemies in populations presently living. The rabbis do preach reincarnation (gilgul) and they do preach eternal vigilance and vengeance against "Amalek."

Getting back to the rabbis' misapplication of "Amalek" and it's associated curse of annihilation upon those deemed "'Jew'-haters," which in reality most often means someone that the rabbis hate. Many individuals and populations have been misidentified by the rabbis and Judaic organizations as "Amalek" and slated for extermination throughout history. Some examples, in no particular order, are Rome, Christendom, Armenians, Germans, Arabs, Palestinians, revisionist historians, and noteworthy today, Persians/Iranians.

There is a rabbinic myth which identifies Haman from the book of Esther as a descendant of Amalek. This Purimspiel creates a false association between Amalek and people of Persian descent as the story of the Book of Esther takes place in Persia, today's Iran, which Zionist warmongers have been pushing to attack unprovoked for several years now. To those of a Kabbalistic bent, Iranian President Ahmadinejad is viewed as the reincarnation of Haman who was mythologized as a descendant of Amalek.

Judaic "Redemption" Comes Through Extermination of "Amalek"

Redemption is no more than the external manifestation of the inner state of tikkun ("restitution") which depends on the deeds of Israel and a realization of the way of life which the Kabbalah preaches. The fact of tikkun is not something which depends on a miracle, but rather on human action ... [the Messiah's] coming is conditional upon the accomplishment of the task of Israel in the "tikkun of the world." According to this latter view, there is a human and historical preparation for redemption and the Messiah will come automatically if this preparation is completed. This belief is widespread among the disciples of Isaac Luria, and it follows logically from the basic assumptions of Lurianic Kabbalah. (Encyclopedia Judaica, "Redemption")

The main concern of Lurianic Kabbalah, as has been mentioned, is with the details of the process of tikkun ... certain concluding actions have been reserved for man. These are the ultimate aim of creation, and the completion of tikkun, which is synonymous with the redemption, depends on man's performing them. (Encyclopedia Judaica, "Kabbalah")

Now that we know that Kabbalism maintains that Judaics themselves bring about their own redemption (laying bare the self-worship of Judaism), it's interesting to note what conditions must be fulfilled according to Kabbalah in order for "redemption" to take place:

"But withal redemption will not be complete until Amalek will be exterminated, for against Amalek the oath was taken that “the Lord will have war against Amalek from generation to generation” (Ex. XVII,16). (Soncino Zohar, Bereshith, Folio 25b)

As a side note, Daniel Matt's recently published English translation of the Zohar has omitted this genocidal prophesy completely without even a footnote explaining it's absence. I can't imagine why. In fact, folios 22b through 29a are completely missing. It must have been the Christian censors! Ha! I shall be interested to see if Matt censors folio 282a (which places Jesus next to Muhammad amid worms, dung, dead dogs and assess) from the soon to be released 4th volume of his English translated Zohar.

Benedict XVI says that Judaic anticipation of "the Messiah" is not in vain. For the good of all of those unfortunate to be categorized as "Amalek" by the rabbis I wish that he would cease encouraging those psychopaths.

And for all of those who have been duped into accepting the Neturei Karta, Satmar and other anti-Zionist "Torah-true" Hasidim as allies, I would let you in on the fact that the Zohar quoted above is the "Torah" that they are true to.

More on Benedict's Holocaust Prostration, Repentance

The symbolism in the pope's words and behavior is patent:

Pope Benedict XVI stood silently yesterday before a large stone monument to Austrian Jews slaughtered in the Holocaust ... With Austria's chief rabbi, Paul Chaim Eisenberg, at his side, the pontiff meditated and then heard the rabbi's prayer. He bowed twice before shaking hands with several elderly representatives of the Jewish community.

Speaking earlier to reporters accompanying him on the papal flight from Rome, Pope Benedict said he wanted to show "our sadness, our repentance" for the Holocaust and "our friendship with our Jewish brothers." The pope's use of the word repentance was especially important, because it recognizes guilt and responsibility, something that Jewish leaders have been seeking. ("Pope offers 'repentance' to Austrian Jews," Tracy Wilkinson, Baltimore Sun September 8, 2007)

Counter The Judaic Lobby's Attack on CNN

CNN Comes Under Unprecedented Attack

Forward

Nathan Guttman | Wed. Sep 05, 2007

Washington - A CNN documentary about religious extremists has prompted an unprecedented outcry from the organized Jewish community, including a call to advertisers to pressure the network.

The three-episode special, “God’s Warriors,” by CNN’s chief international correspondent, Christiane Amanpour, is being characterized by Jewish groups as equating Jewish extremists in West Bank settlements with Muslim jihadists. The program is also accused of containing numerous factual errors.

The Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, which represents more than 50 national Jewish organizations, convened a special discussion with its members following the airing of the program last month, and has urged them to take up the issue with companies that have bought advertising slots during the show.

In the past, there have been widespread complaints about the media’s treatment of Israel, but this appears to be the first time that so many organizations have come together in opposition to a single media outlet.

“This was not an average show,” said Jennifer Laszlo-Mizrahi, founder of The Israel Project. “CNN bought full-page ads promoting the show and ran it on prime time. The perspective the show left the viewers with is that Israel doesn’t want peace and that Israel’s friends in the United States don’t want peace.” The Israel Project, a group focused on providing information to the press and the public about Israel, broke a five-year tradition of not reacting to media reports on Israel and put out a press release about the Amanpour show, detailing Israel’s efforts to promote peace in the region.

“The program definitely has a great damage potential because of the people who watch CNN,” Laszlo-Mizrahi added, pointing to the fact that foreign officials and decision makers tend to view CNN as an important news source.

I watched most of the CNN series, "God's Warriors" and while I thought it was only a brief introduction at best and that it failed to make some distinctions I found it to be a very important and very timely journalistic work. I was quite pleased that the Judaic hand in the "Christian Zionist" movement was exposed and that "Christian Zionism" wasn't conflated with traditional Christianity. It also presented very real and largely unreported Judaic terrorists and their terrorist acts before a large audience most of whom are unlikely to have known of these things.

On the whole I found "God's Warriors" to be imperfect but a definite move towards the type of journalism that we should expect from anyone who presumes to call him/herself a journalist, timely and relevant, particularly now given the impending Zionist assault on Iran. Viewers received a brief glimpse inside the minds of the promoters of messianic Zionist warmongering insanity.

It shouldn't surprise anyone that Judaic power organizations are bringing their full weight down on CNN for airing this documentary. I hope that people will take the time to contact CNN and voice their support for this type of journalism and hopes that they will build on this program offering more continually improving, relevant, courageous journalism of this nature in the future. Don't allow Judaic groups to impose their tyrannical minority view on our airwaves. If you allow their voice to be heard over yours that is what you should expect.

Massive ZioCon Propaganda Campaign Scheduled for Next Week

Bush Plans War On Iran

By Prof. Marjorie Cohn

07 September, 2007
Global Research

The Sunday Times of London is reporting that the Pentagon has plans for three days of massive air strikes against 1,200 targets in Iran. Last week, Alexis Debat, director of terrorism and national security at the Nixon Center, told a meeting of The National Interest, a conservative foreign policy journal, that the military did not intend to carry out "pinprick strikes" against Iranian nuclear facilities. He said, "They're about taking out the entire Iranian military."

Bush has already set the wheels in motion. With Rovian timing, Alberto Gonzales' resignation was sandwiched between two Bush screeds - one aimed at ensuring Congress scares up $50 billion more for the occupation of Iraq, the other designed to scare us into supporting war on Iran. As Gonzales rides off into the sunset, the significant questions are who will take his place and how that choice will facilitate Bush's occupation of Iraq and attack on Iran.

One name that's been floated for Bush's third attorney general is Joe Lieberman, the "independent" senator from Connecticut [Michael Chertoff, another friend of Chabad Lubavitch and police-state advocate, has also been mentioned]. Lieberman, who advocates the use of military force against Iran, was the only person Bush quoted in his August 28 speech to the American Legion. Bush called Iran "the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism" and pledged to "confront Tehran's murderous activities."

Gonzales greased the Bush/Cheney wheels for torturing in violation of the Geneva Conventions, illegally spying on Americans, and purging disloyal Bushies.

Similarly, Lieberman would ensure the Justice Department mounts a vigorous defense of a war of aggression against Iran. And Bush would get a two-fer: Connecticut's Republican governor would appoint a Republican to fill Lieberman's seat, returning control of the Senate to the GOP. A Republican-controlled Senate would direct the agenda, thereby furthering the Bush/Cheney plan.

Lieberman is closely affiliated with American Israeli Public Affairs Committee. "AIPAC leverages its power by an alliance with the Christian Right, which has adopted a bizarre ideology of 'Christian Zionism,'" according to University of Michigan professor Juan Cole. "It holds that the sooner the Palestinians are ethnically cleansed, the sooner Christ will come back. Without millions of these Christian Zionist allies," Cole added, "AIPAC would be much less influential and effective."

During the 2004 election, a 100% "AIPAC voting record" was Lieberman's litmus test for an acceptable presidential candidate. As the House of Representatives was on the verge of passing a resolution that would've required Bush to consult Congress before attacking Iran, the AIPAC lobby stopped it in its tracks.

Bush's WMD-hyping against Iran is déja vu in the run-up to Operation Iraqi Disaster, where he played loose and fast with the truth about Iraq 's alleged WMDs. His statement that a nuclear Iran could put the region "under the shadow of a nuclear holocaust" conjures up his images of a "mushroom cloud" in the hype-up to Iraq.

How inconvenient for Bush that the UN International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) just found Iran 's uranium enrichment program is operating well below capacity and is nowhere near producing significant amounts of nuclear fuel. The IAEA report says Iran "has been providing the agency with access to declared nuclear materials, and has provided the required nuclear material accountancy reports in connection with declared nuclear material and facilities."

Iran and IAEA agreed on a plan with a step-by-step timetable of cooperation to settle unresolved issues. The agreement said there were "no other remaining issues and ambiguities regarding Iran 's past nuclear program and activities," and characterized the accord as "a significant step forward."

"This is the first time Iran is ready to discuss all the outstanding issues which triggered the crisis in confidence," said IAEA director general Mohamed ElBaradei. "I'm clear at this stage you need to give Iran a chance to prove its stated goodwill. Sanctions alone, I know for sure, are not going to lead to a durable solution".

In 2003, when Dr. ElBaradei reported there was no evidence that Iraq was reconstituting its nuclear program, the White House was not pleased. And as Saddam Hussein became more cooperative with the weapons inspector, Bush became "infuriated," according to Bob Woodward.

Bush's vow, "We will confront this danger before it is too late," is the Iran incarnation of his illegal preemptive war doctrine, which he inaugurated in Iraq. In a clear signal he is seeking regime change in Iran, Bush called for "an Iran whose government is accountable to its people, instead of leaders who promote terror and pursue the technology that could be used to develop nuclear weapons."

Barnett Rubin reported on Global Affairs blog that one of the leading neo-conservative institutions has "instructions" from Dick Cheney's office to "roll out a campaign for war with Iran in the week after Labor Day; it will be coordinated with the American Enterprise Institute, the Wall Street Journal, the Weekly Standard, Commentary, Fox, and the usual suspects. It will be heavy sustained assault on the airwaves, designed to knock public sentiment into a position from which a war can be maintained. Evidently they don't think they'll ever get majority support for this - they want something like 35-40 percent support, which in their book is 'plenty.'"

Bush/Cheney created the White House Iraq Group (WHIG) to lead a propaganda campaign to bolster public support for war with Iraq. The White House decided to wait until after Labor Day of 2002 to kick off WHIG's mission.Chief of staff Andrew Card explained, "From a marketing point of view, you don't introduce new products in August." Five years later, they're marketing a new and even more dangerous product - war with Iran. British military historian Corelli Barnett says "an attack on Iran would effectively launch World War III."

Our military spending has reached $1 billion every 2-1/2 days and we are borrowing $2-1/2 billion per day. Bush is mortgaging our children’s future security and wealth. We have lost more than 3,700 soldiers in Iraq and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have died.

We have already seen how easily Congress caves in to AIPAC. It's up to the people. As Noam Chomsky said, "The most effective barrier to a White House decision to launch a war [on Iran] is the kind of organized popular opposition that frightened the political-military leadership enough in 1968 that they were reluctant to send more troops to Vietnam."

Marjorie Cohn is a professor at Thomas Jefferson School of Law and president of the National Lawyers Guild. She is the author of " Cowboy Republic : Six Ways the Bush Gang Has Defied the Law." Her articles are archived at http://www.marjoriecohn.com/

Benedict Once Again Bows to Holocaustolatry, Repents

Benedict XVI bows to the Holocaust memorial at Judenplatz in Vienna, Austria.

VIENNA, Sept. 7 — Pope Benedict XVI confronted Friday the shadows of Europe’s past, praying at a Holocaust memorial here, as he spoke with worry about its future. Europe, he said, may extinguish itself, in numbers and spirit, if it embraces abortion and rejects Christianity, which he said “profoundly shaped the continent.”

“It should be everyone’s concern to ensure that the day will never come when only its stones speak of Christianity,” the pope said, at the start of a three-day visit here. “An Austria without a vibrant Christian faith would no longer be Austria.”

... Even as [Benedict XVI] spoke about the Christian roots of Europe, he acknowledged the role — and suffering — of Jews on the Continent. He told reporters in Italian on his plane before leaving Rome that his trip was aimed partly at showing “our sadness, our repentance and also our friendship with our Jewish brothers.” (Ian Fisher, "Pope Vigorously Defends Catholicism in Austria and Raises Concerns on Europe’s Future," New York Times, Sept 8, 2007)

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/09/08/world/europe/08pope.html?em&ex=1189396800&en=b76c92ee67599607&ei=5087%0A

If Benedict truly wants to revive Christianity in Europe and stimulate the birthrate among European Christians perhaps he might try laying off the Holocaust guilt for a bit to see how that might help. Here he is once again sprinkling holy water on the Weisenthal/Spielberg/Isaacesque image of Austrian Christians as monsters who must repent for cosmic crimes committed against "God's Chosen People"--directly associating such cosmic crimes with Christendom--and simultaneously chastising Europeans for disassociating themselves with Christianity and not having children? Has it occurred to him that 40 years of hammering on Christianity as a "teaching of contempt" which directly led to the "modern Golgaltha" of Auschwitz has perhaps turned Austrians away from the Christian tradition? Not to mention Austria's heinously corrupt clergy.

If "reviving Christianity in Europe" means forever bowing to Holocaust idols, placing Auschwitz alongside or above Calvary and repenting for the crimes of the Nazis while being ruled by Judaizing homo bishops I recommend that Europeans withhold all support, or better yet, run the other way.

On the other hand, I would love to see a genuine revival of Christendom in Europe but I would hope that the children produced by such a true revival would not end up serving as canon fodder for messianic Zionist crusades against Arab "Amalek" (Zohar 1;25b).

Benedict on St. Gregory of Nyssa

The latest installment in Benedict XVI's series of talks on the Church Fathers focuses on St. Gregory of Nyssa:

In the last few catecheses I spoke about two great doctors of the Church of the fourth century, Basil and Gregory Nazianzen, bishop of Cappadocia, in present-day Turkey. Today we add a third, Basil's brother, St. Gregory of Nyssa, who showed himself to be a man of meditative character, with a great capacity for reflection, and a vivacious intellect, open to the culture of his time. He showed himself in this way to be an original and deep thinker in Christian history ...

Especially after Basil's death, almost garnering his spiritual legacy, Gregory cooperated in the triumph of orthodoxy. He participated in various synods; he tried to settle divisions between the Churches; he took an active part in the Church's reorganization; and, as "a pillar of orthodoxy," he was a protagonist at the Council of Constantinople in 381, which defined the divinity of the Holy Spirit. (Benedict XVI, "On St. Gregory of Nyssa: A Pillar of Orthodoxy," August 29, 2007)

Full lecture:
http://www.zenit.org/article-20361?l=english

It is true, St. Gregory of Nyssa was indeed a pillar of orthodoxy, and given that Benedict says as much himself, it's worth examining what this pillar of orthodoxy, St. Gregory of Nyssa wrote of the people who Benedict calls his "elder brothers in the faith" with whom Christians "have a common mission."

The Lawgiver of our life has enjoined upon us one single hatred. I mean, that of the Serpent: for no other purpose has He bidden us exercise this faculty of hatred, but as a resource against wickedness. "I will put enmity," He says, "between you and him." Since wickedness is a complicated and multifarious thing, the Word allegorizes it by the Serpent, the dense array of whose scales is symbolic of this multiformity of evil. And we by working the will of our Adversary make an alliance with this serpent, and so turn this hatred against one another, and perhaps not against ourselves alone, but against Him Who gave the commandment; for He says, "You shall love your neighbour and hate thine enemy," commanding us to hold the foe to our humanity as our only enemy, and declaring that all who share that humanity are the neighbours of each one of us. But this gross-hearted age has disunited us from our neighbour, and has made us welcome the serpent, and revel in his spotted scales.

I affirm, then, that it is a lawful thing to hate God's enemies, and that this kind of hatred is pleasing to our Lord: and by God's enemies I mean those who deny the glory of our Lord, be they Jews, or downright idolaters, or those who through Arius' teaching idolize the creature, and so adopt the error of the Jews. (St. Gregory of Nyssa, Letter 17)

Now, I do not seize upon this statement by St. Gregory, which is typical to all of the Church Fathers, in an effort to stir up temporal animosity any more than St. Gregory intended to do so, but to demonstrate how double-minded it is of Benedict to on the one hand laud the orthodoxy of the Church Fathers who singularly identified Judaic practices, beliefs and those who uphold them as antithetical and inimical to Christianity, and on the other hand laud the "Jews" who today uphold these same beliefs and practices so opposed by the Church Fathers as our "elder brothers in the faith;" people with whom Christians "have a common mission."

Are they our enemies or our allies? They cannot be both. So, either Benedict or the Church Doctor Gregory of Nyssa and all of the Church Fathers are wrong here. I side with the Church Fathers.

Judaic beliefs have only become more hostile towards Christianity and Christians since St. Gregory's time. For the Vatican to make such a 180 degree turnaround from the position of the Church Fathers on this matter reflects a change on their part only and a most suspicious change at that.

Vatican 777 Live Earth Ceremony

Watch Laurence Bender (producer of bloodfest movie, "Kill Bill") give a Live Earth sermon at the Cathedral of Rome, St. John Lateran followed by an eerie requiem by Vatican composer Michael d'Alessandra on 7/07/07:

This ceremony coincided with the issuance of the motu proprio, Summorum Pontificum relating to the traditional Latin Mass also on 7/7/07. More on that here:
