We were tragically attacked at the World Trade Center in 1993 and on 9/11 because of US support of Israel which resulted in the 'War on Terror' that has eroded our Constitutional civil liberties:

So we are having the Bill of Rights shredded because of support for Israel in the BILLIONS of US taxpayer dollars while US states go broke (see how much Israel receives via the links at http://www.wrmea.com ). Founding Father George Washington warned US (in his Farewell Address - see the bottom of www.astandforjustice.org ) to avoid the passionate attachment for any foreign country and artificially making that foreign country's interests our own (like we are doing with Israel which is taking US down).

Mainstream Media, the 9/11 Commission Report, politicians and pundits have all downplayed and/or omitted the fact that the main motive for the 9/11 attacks was outrage over U.S. support of Israel. Here is a rare exception to the suppression, it comes from The Forward (which is the respected Jewish publication out of New York): "The disclosures seem to weaken Israeli claims that the issue was only a secondary priority for Osama bin Laden, and they could rekindle the debate about whether U.S. support for Israel is hindering national security."

U.S. policy on Israel key motive for effort

PLOTTER INVOLVED BIN LADEN TO GAIN MORE RESOURCES

Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the man who conceived and directed the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, was motivated by his strong disagreement with American support for Israel, said the final report of the Sept. 11 commission.

Mohammed conceived the initial outline of the attack six years before its execution and brought the plan to al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden because he thought he did not have the resources to carry it out on his own.

The Sept. 11 report contains the fullest accounting of Mohammed's overarching role from original conception to supervision of details. Bin Laden, too, was fully involved, selecting all or most of the participants, ordering the substance and the location of their training, and contributing to the timing of the attacks and the selection of targets, the report says.

The report makes a strong case that al-Qaida accomplished the attacks without any hint of state sponsorship. The report also appears to lay to rest the notion, long alluded to by administration officials including Vice President Dick Cheney, that hijacker Mohamed Atta traveled to the Czech Republic to meet an Iraqi intelligence operative in the spring of 2001.

In addition to repeating evidence that Atta was in the United States at the time, the report revealed that the Iraqi agent was not in Prague either when the meeting was alleged to have occurred.

Much of the report's detail comes from interrogations of al-Qaida operatives in U.S. custody, including Mohammed and Ramzi Binalshibh. Some of that information is contradictory; much of it is difficult to corroborate. One CIA analysis cited in the report, for example, is titled "Khalid Shaykh Muhammed's Threat Reporting -- Precious Truths, Surrounded by a Bodyguard of Lies."

Bush to ask Congress for extra 50 bln usd for Iraq - report

WASHINGTON (Thomson Financial) - US President George W Bush plans to ask Congress for an extra 50 bln usd for Iraq following a highly anticipated report on progress in the war-torn country next month, US media reported.

The request would seek to pay for the current troop 'surge' strategy and is a sign that Bush anticipates prevailing in a showdown with the Democratic-controlled Congress which has been pushing for troop withdrawal, the Washington Post (nyse: WPO - news - people ) said.

If approved, the bid would bring US spending on the Iraq war to more than three billion dollars per week.

The formal request is to be delivered following Army General David Petraeus' and Ambassador Ryan Crocker's report to Congress on September 15 about military and political developments in Iraq particularly since the new strategy took effect.

The 50 bln usd would be in addition to the 460 bln in the fiscal 2008 defense budget and 147 bln usd in a pending supplemental bill to fund the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

'We haven't seen the details, but we'll give it the scrutiny it deserves,' said Jim Manley, a spokesman for Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

We know damn well what motivated Osama bin Laden. Philip Zelikow, executive director of the 9/11 Commission testified before the commission, "the al-qeada leader wanted to punish the United States for supporting Israel." BUT this testimony was omitted from the 9/1 Report because devious people like you suppress the motive in order to keep U.S. support for Israel from being reassessed! see link

As I explained to you already:

Bin Laden has made clear and consistent statements on video and audio tape for YEARS before AND AFTER that letter popped up on the Internet. We have no evidence it is from bin Laden, it is not his image, it is not his voice, all it was was a letter written in Arabic.

Bin Laden has stated the motives for the years before and after the letter. His statements contradict what is in the letter, nothing he has ever said on tape coincides with the fabricated letter.

I have read transcripts of his speeches and have read the Fatwas but the "letter to the American people" doesn't fit the pattern of years of statements before or after the letter.

Osama bin Laden has been interviewed by western journalists and has been video and audio taped repeating the same list of grievances as the reason he calls for attacks for years. Most of these statements have been confirmed as those from Osama but as far as I know this particular letter hasn't. It appeared on the Internet in Arabic. It was reported in a November 24, 2002 article in The Observer, in an article that cites no intelligence-agency estimates about the likelihood of its authenticity, only using journalists' beliefs that it is really a letter from Osama explaining the motivations for the attacks.

Some of the reasons I question the authenticity of this particular letter is that it is a style different from everything else. The strange intro to the letter acts like the motives have not been stated before! This really makes me doubt that this particular letter is from him. Bin Laden knows he has clearly stated the motives for years, why does this letter say "Here we wanted to outline the truth - as an explanation and warning"?

I have not seen any other source that includes as motives for the attacks either "debauchery of Western Civilization" or a "call for conversion to Islam of the infidels." He has listed specific foreign policies over and over again. He has not, as far as I know, ever called for call us "to be a people of manners, principles, honour, and purity; to reject the immoral acts of fornication, homosexuality, intoxicants, gambling's, and trading with interest." He instead has been explicit in the statements that we know are from him, "We swore that America wouldn't live in security until we live it truly in Palestine. This showed the reality of America, which puts Israel's interest above its own people's interest. America won't get out of this crisis until it gets out of the Arabian Peninsula, and until it stops its support of Israel." -Osama bin Laden, October 2001

The strangest part of the letter is the part that mentions Clinton. It asks, "Who can forget your President Clinton's immoral acts committed in the official Oval office?" and it asks "Is there a worse kind of event for which your name will go down in history and remembered by nations?" I cannot believe that bin Laden thinks the Monica affair was "worse kind of event." From what I have read it is clear that he thinks U.S. foreign policies are the worst. This bizarre reference stands in contrast to everything that what we know for a fact he has said. He has said "the bloodshed of Muslims is allowed in every place. With this kind of behavior, the U.S. government is hurting itself, hurting Muslims and hurting the American people." I doubt very much that Clinton's sexual behavior is something he would even bother to mention.

Jason Burke in his book "Al-Qeada" writes, "There is some doubt over whether the letter is actually the work of bin Laden himself. There are several Qur'anic references in it that are erroneous, mistakes bin Laden would be unlikely to make". p295 (footnote 1 of Chapter 2)

Also if you read the letter it appears that bin Laden suddenly embraces a modern version of Islam which contradicts the fact that he is a fundamentalist. The letter is a fraud. We have nearly a decade of statements directly from bin Laden that explicitly state the motives. In fact there is an audio tape from bin Laden that addressed the false reasons the Bush Administration created.
"... the Mujahideen saw the black gang of thugs in the White House hiding
the Truth, and their stupid and foolish leader, who is elected and supported by his people, denying reality and proclaiming that we (the Mujahideen) were striking them because we were jealous of them (the Americans), whereas the reality is that we are striking them because of their evil and injustice in the whole of the Islamic World, especially in Iraq and Palestine and their occupation of the Land of the Two Holy Sanctuaries. Upon seeing this, the Mujahideen decided teach them a lesson and to take the war to their heartland. On the blessed Tuesday 11 September 2001, while the Zionist-American Alliance was targeting our children and our people in the blessed land of Al-Aqsa, with American
tanks and planes in the hands of the Jews, and our people in Iraq were suffering from the America's sanctions upon them, and the Islamic world was very far away from establishing Islam properly." -bin Laden Feb 14, 2003

In the paragraph before that he again recaps the motives that he has mentioned for years:

" ... in 1995, the explosion in Riyadh took place, killing four Americans, in a clear message from the people of that region displaying their rejection and opposition to the American policy of bankrolling the Jews and occupying the Land of the Two Holy Sanctuaries. The following year, another explosion in Al-Khobar killed 19 Americans and wounded more than 400 of them, prompting them to move their bases from the cities
to the desert. Then in 1998, the Mujahideen warned America to cease their support to the Jews and to leave the Land of the Two Holy Sanctuaries, but the enemy refused to heed this warning, so the Mujahideen, with the ability from Allah, smashed them with two mighty smashes in East Africa. Then again America was warned, but she refused to pay attention to the warnings, so the Mujahideen destroyed the American Destroyer, the USS Cole, in Aden, in a martyrdom operation, striking a solid blow to the face of the American military and at the same time, exposing the Yemeni Government as American agents, similar to all the countries in the region."
