Is your main objection that Majette received a large amount of financial support from people outside her district who may have personal motives for supporting the candidate? How does that differ from McKinney receiving a large amount of funding from out-of-state donors, many of whom may have supported her for reasons other than the best interests of her constituents? Have you SEEN McKinney's donor list http://www.opensecrets.org/indivs/cgi-win/indivsprofile.exe?H2GA11016?

McKinney's district did not extend to Virginia, Arkansas, Colorado, Nevada, California, or even as far as Florida. Not only did McKinney's money come from all over the US, but there were contributions from the AMERICAN MUSLIM COUNCIL in Washington, DC., the ISLAMIC INSTITUTE in Maryland and the AMERICAN MUSLIMS FOR JERUSALEM in Maryland. Alot of money came from wealthy out-of-state business people and professionals. Some of here money came from people linked to terrorist organizations.http://www.accessatlanta.com/ajc/metro/0802/03mcmoney.html

Or are you just speculating and repeating? Then we can get with your support of course an investigatin by your FBI off the ground, Im sure youll be pleased to back it up.

Apologies to the poster, So used to aggressiveness on these subjects that didnt really look into this funding bit more.

Two things though, Mckinney was a voice in the widerness so to speak on questioning Bush and investigations into wtc was she not? States are capable of handling voices in the wilderness in their own way and using media outlets to help are they not.

Not being from States I am still aware of some great historical journeys wilderness voices have made in your country, on tobbaco companies, watergate, irangate etc, just takes time for people to realise in later years when its almost too late to do anything about it.

Second thing, if Mckinney has taken campaign monies from dubious sources and can be proved then take it foreward America ..Do something about it. You obviously have a problem on just who is running your country and who is funding it. Dont you have your own countrymen and women to take care of without Arabs, Isrealis, Timbuktuans and eskiomos?

Question: How many of your elected representatives are supported by Aipac funds and how many by Arab funds, any breakdown?
Would be interesting to see the numbers and just how who has or some would say owns the majority.

Surely you would like to know too? Your an American right?

Re terror organization funding, the URL should go there (though it did not come out as hyperlinked - sorry)

Re US campaign funding, it is one of the hot topics in the US. If it weren't for 9/11 and the major corporate issues, it might be the number 1 issue.

Ill have a look thanks, but rather than simply terrorist funding links im just as interested in funding links full stop. I guess Aipac funding does not come under that but what I asked was comparason of funding from external orginisations really as they all have their own agandas not just the obvious terrorist link ones.

Theres terrrorism and theirs causes of terrorism, cause and effect lay heavily in your countries political funding it would seem.

I believe what you will find is that a few people who work for AIPAC made contributions. Put AIPAC in as the employer.

AIPAC keeps it's legal status as an interest group rather than a PAC because it does not make campaign contributions. It calls upon its members to contribute as individuals. That's been through all the courts.
