| UNDENIABLE EVENTS LEADING UP TO THE ATTACK ON THE US BY TERRORISTS ON 9-11-2001; RESOLUTION OF THE CONFLICT This history is not meant to be in any manner or form a defense of the attack on the United States by terrorists; namely, the attack on the Pentagon, the World Trade Center, or the failed attempts on the US Capitol, The White House, and President Bush's Air Force One.Instead, it is the hope of every loyal US citizen, regardless of race, creed, color or national origin that the perpetrators of these attacks be captured and brought to justice, or eliminated in the attempt, whether they be a terrorist group of any size, or any nation that has allowed them a safe harbor for training and planning these dastardly deeds. But what were the events that brought the United States to the point where it has been attacked, and why? The following is a list of events that culminated in the attack that was described by the terrorists and their allies as vengeance for the one-sided US government policies in the Middle East, policies that favored Israel in every situation, circumstance, and position, and even now continues in the face of Israel's genocidal attacks on the Palestinian lands in Ramallah and Bethlehem.Event Timeline:1. 1896 The founder of Zionism, Theodore Herzl, advocates the establishment of a Jewish state, either in Argentina or Palestine. 2. 1917 A British foreign secretary, not a Jew himself, states that the British government favors the establishment of an national home for the Jewish people. He also said that, "Nothing should be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of the existing, non-Jewish communities in Palestine. 3. 1922 The League of Nations, of which the US was not a member, issueda Mandate for Palestine, which was in favor of establishing by force a Jewish homeland in Palestine, no matter who was presently, and legally, occupying it. The Mandate did not go into detail on how the and in Palestine, lived on by resident Arabs, for hundreds of years, who possessed documented deeds of ownership, was to be unilaterally handed over to the Jewish migrants. 4. 1937 The Peel Commission, headed by Lord Robert Peel, analyzed the Balfour Declaration and concluded that such a Mandate for Palestine could not work, and that a national entity including both Islamics and Jews was impossible. 5. 1947 The British were tired, having gone through six years of war and six years of attacks by Jewish terrorist gangs, the Irgun, the Stern Gang, and other gangs. They left Palestine and left the United Nations and the US to sort out the massive problems. Then the UN brought forth a plan where by Palestine would be unilaterally partitioned into a Jewish state and a Palestinian Arab state.with Jerusalem as an international zone.Again, no thought was given to the Palestinian Arabs who actually owned the land. If course, the United States, urged on by the pro-Israeli forces inits government, voted in favor of this action.6. 1948 When Israel was founded as a nation in 1948 after a contrived war against the weak Arab powers who strongly disagreed with the UN/US establishment of a Jewish state called Israel, the more than 800,000 Arabs who lived in what had Palestinian territory, taken over with force by the Israelis, only a 170 remained. The rest had their properties and goods stripped away by Israeli troops. Palestinian Arabs were thrown out of their homes during the dinner hour with only the clothes on their backs, not allowed to take any valuables, their homes and property taken over by the jackboots of the Israeli army. This is why the sticking point in any Palestine/Israeli peace talks is the Right of Return; the Israelis do not want the legal owners, the Palestinians, to get back the property that was stolen from them. 7. 1956 The Suez War began when Israel used small attacks on the stolen Israeli land by guerilla factions as an excuse to take over the Gaza Strip and portions of Egypt. The United States, as always a big brother to Israel, acted to resolve the conflict, with the UN force sent to supervise a cease-fire in the Suez Canal Zone. 8. 1965 On January 1, 1965, The Palestine Liberation Organization was founded. It was the beginning of an ongoing response to the actions of the UN and Us that ripped land out of Palestine to form an artificial state -Israel. 9. 1967 On June 4, 1967, the Israeli air force, with French supplied Mirage jet fighters, attacked without provocation, Egyptian air fields and took out Egyptian fighter aircraft and military bases. It was during this Israeli instigated Six Day War that the Israeli forces attacked and tried to sink a US Navy Elint, intelligence ship, the USS Liberty, that Israel wanted to stop from seeing, and reporting on, Israeli attacks on the Golan Heights and other targets. Thirty four United States sailors were killed, and 171 wounded. The Israelis then tried to say the sneak attack was a mistake, even though a large American flag had been flying at the time, and prior to the attack Israeli observer aircraft had been overflying the Liberty. The cowardly US administration and congress at the time did not have the guts to hold hearings because of the pro-Israel permeating the US government and congress, even as it is today. 10. 1973 The October War began when Egypt and Syria declared war on Israel in order to regain the territory lost in 1967. Arab forces were defeating the IDF in battles over a three week period, and things looked bleak for the Israelis. However, the Israelis then received massive quantities of United States economic and military aid and supplies that Egypt and Syria were unable to match. Summary:In the years since the 1973 War in which the combined Israeli/US forces prevailed, there were a number of peace initiatives, such as the 1979 Camp David peace treaty talks, the 1991 peace talks, the 1996 peace talks, the1995 Oslo peace talks, and others. However, they were only talks, with no hard copy document laying out the structure of an agreement there to besigned. As usual, the Israelis, merely talked for TV consumption, and gave the impression that it was Palestine who would not sign an agreement just because the Right of Return for Palestinian victims of Israeli theft was neither addressed nor resolved. During this time period, Arabs and Israelis were being killed in various clashes at a ratio of one Israeli for every 10 Arab Palestinians. In its usual garb of dishonest broker, The United States, even as it is now, appeared to be on the side of the Israelis at every point in every so-called negotiation. It is always the US and Israel versus Yasser Arafat and the Palestinian people. It seems that no peace agreement would hold because of the Israeli contempt for Arabs in general, and Arafat in particular. Is the United States biased? Over the years the pro-Israelis in the US government and in congress have provided to Israel without charge over one hundred billion dollars in economic and military aid. In fact, even in US law, benefits to Israel appear over 70 times. For years, due to the pro-Israelis in the government and congress, US policies have favored Israel so much that some have said that the capitol of the United States was Tel Aviv, or Jerusalem. The US government has always taken Israel's position against the Palestinians and Arabs, and this coddling of Israel has resulted in terrorist attacks against the US in Lebanon, Kenya, Sudan, Yemen, and now in New York and Washington where thousands may have died tragically because of the all-out support fo rIsrael. Conclusion:There is only one conclusion that can be reached, and it is this: Had the US operated in an even handed manner in dealing with the Middle Eastern nations during past years, thousands of Americans, Israelis, Palestinians, and other Arabs, would now be alive and well, instead of resting in rubble, hospitals, body bags, morgues, and cemeteries. It is up to President George W. Bush to use an even hand from now on, touse what ever forces are necessary to dislodge the Israeli IDF from Palestinian land, diplomatic or military, and bring about a peace where all the occupied lands are returned to pre-1967 borders, whether Ariel Sharon likes it or not. Only that will bring a lasting peace to the area; only if George Bush has the integrity and moral strength to accomplish it. NOTE: Does this position represent anti-Semitism, or anti-Judaism as some will say? Absolutely not! Overall, both Israelis and Arabs are of Semitic origin. All that is being proposed is that based on past events, past history, both Arabs and Israelis should, in the future, be treated in a fair, even handed, fashion, by the United States and the world.
